South African Banks are constantly changing their lending policies.
100% Home Loans have returned & are available, but the banks are understandably more cautious when approving these bonds.

After the downward turn of the local and world economy, and the immense pressure our banks were under, many thought that the era of 100% home loans had left our shores for good.
But, surprisingly in May of 2009 Nedbank released a notice to announce a new home loan offering. The bank reintroduced 100% bonds to South Africa.
The introduction was a careful one though, as this offer was only applicable to qualified buyers of Nedbank Owned Properties. These are repossessed properties owned by Nedbank, that are often sold at a discount.
Since that time Nedbank has opened its doors to anyone looking to by property in South Africa. The bank will now lend up to 100% of the value of any South Africa property if you are able to afford the bond repayments. Here’s how to secure 100% homeloans.
