Umm, sure they increased in nominal terms, but they dropped in real terms, as they have done fairly consistently for about 20 straight years.

You would be FAR better off financially renting and putting the money saved into the stock market.

i bought a house worth R330 000. ABSA granded me the home loan but with an interest rate of 12,2%.
I"m paying R3535.00 per month and for 30 years.

I'm just asking if its this possible to pay that montly instalment for 30 years even the value of the house is R330 000?

HI.
I'm looking to build in the near future and are contemplating my options. My wife will go back to work after 4mths of maternity leave and we have no bond (sold our flat to buy a plot). We therefore will be able to save thousans pm. I don't want to save up only to see construction price increases eat up the savings, but I also don't want to be short of a couple of thousand Rand to finish the proposed house with the best we can afford (1st time right). The big Question is... how does construction react to house price increases??? this is a good time to build, but can I afford to wait a while and save OR should I jump in while the going is good??
Hope u can help. Thanks, andre
